Finally I uploaded my first self-made deviation! :iconfuckyeahplz:

I proudly present to you: my SocQA-icon! :happybounce: :excited: :shuffelin:

My god, that really took me ages :faint: Thank you real life for always getting in my way :pissed:
Well, whatever – better late than never I guess :D

About SocQA: SocQA is an OC of mine. I "borrowed" him to be my avatar on here :D

More works of SocQA will follow, but I still have to work on them (thanks again, real life) so it'll take some time. But at least there's the icon on here, that's a good start :D

Fisheye Placebo

2 min read
This time I want to introduce a webcomic entitled "Fisheye Placebo" by yuumei that I stumbled upon by looking through her other deviations (which, by the way, all look very beautiful and are well-made)

The following words are yuumei's own when she uploaded the intro to the comic:

Living under an authoritarian regime is not fun. Extensive censorship meant no Facebook, no Youtube, and no porn.

Fortunately for Vance, being a hacker makes scaling the Great Firewall a walk in the park. With the free web at his fingertips, Vance should be happy but he's not. Maybe there's something missing in his life that porn just cannot replace.

Maybe it's a girlfriend.

So it's not weird at all to hack into the university to assign himself a hot female roommate, right? That's just taking fate into your own hands, or something along those lines, right?

Too bad fate had other plans in mind and Vance is dragged into a crazy conspiracy to overthrow the government by his most-definitely-not-female roommate.

College is meant to be exciting, but not this exciting. Between failed dates, failed grades, and maybe not quite failed hacks, Vance will slowly come to question the morality of his actions and the true price of freedom.

Is this what democracy looks like?

In times and days like these where information can definitely be regarded as a part of our personal rights as well as a weapon as the data of millions of people is collected for e.g. being able to anticipate possible terrorist attacks while other states control the internet access of their citizens and censor almost anything, yuumei's webcomic definitely has actuality and notability.
The comic-art itself is absolutely well made with much love for detail and great coloring. But check out for yourself as I feel that I won't get it to the point xD I definitely recommend this webcomic to everyone interested

Here's the link to the Intro

P.S.: About the porn-thing... you'll see if you read the chapter parts which have been uploaded so far :D

YEEAAH!! 1,000 PAGEVIEWS!!!! :squee: :iconkermityayplz:

Thanks to all the 1,000 viewers who've visited my profile page in the last six months!! Thank you so so very much!! :iconcryforeverplz:

It's so great to be part of this art community which contributes and shares art in every possible way, be it drawings, digitally painted artworks, animations, text or whatever. I've met some very nice people on here so far and I will surely continue to do so. So many awesome people are on here who share their pieces of art and their experience with everyone regardless of their level of experience.

And I am in progress for my first original artworks :) Hopefully, it won't take too long until they're finished and I can upload them. I won't give up, no matter how long it takes!! ;)

So, thank you so so so much again for visiting my profile page! :thanks:

I am still recommending Lindsey Stirling's videos on YouTube. She's a very gifted violinist and plays so very amazingly. For example, her version of "We Found Love" with a female singer from Kenya is so beautiful and breathtaking. There are also videos with medleys from "The Legend of Zelda" or "The Lord of the Rings". But regardless what you like: it's definitely worth to visit her YouTube profile!!

Also still strongly recommended is HugQueen's text "I Have Hope" (irrevocablefate.deviantart.com…) where she desribes her life with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Over 800 pageviews!! :w00t: :happybounce: Thanks to all the visitors of my site!!

Despite the fact that there are just three deviations  I'm still in progress for my first own made deviation. Please be patient with me :forgiveme:

To topic numero dos:

Two days ago I discovered a great artist by chance: Lindsey Stirling. American members may know her from the fifth season of "America's got Talent". She is an American violinist, musician, dancer, performance artist, and composer. And she is a damn great violinist (said by someone who has no talent for any instrument). Her music is really wonderful and she combines the violin music with dubstep, hip hop and other styles. She also collaborates with other artists (some videos are shown on her channel).

Go to her YouTube-channel and see and hear it for yourself: www.youtube.com/user/lindseyst…

I strongly recommend her music. Normally, I am not one to listen to violin music, but Lindsey's style and ideas for performance and combination have won me over :) Two of my favorites are her "Zelda" and "Lord of the Rings" Medley. Yeah, you read right: Zelda and LOTR :D
----------------------------------
I also still recommend "I Have Hope" (irrevocablefate.deviantart.com…) by HugQueen where she describes her life with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Her text is a very detailed and true-to-life description of how PTSD affects the life of someone and what that means for the affected person.
IrrevocableFate still has my respect for writing this text and sharing it with the people on deviantART. It's good for spreading awareness that PTSD can affect everyone who can't cope with an accident or a horrible event that has happened to him/her.

When hearing that someone has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder most people would automatically think about soldiers who expierenced horrific situations in war zones they can't cope with.

But PTSD does not just affect soldiers, but everyone who has experienced a traumatic event in his or her life and is not able to cope with it.

The text "I Have Hope" (irrevocablefate.deviantart.com…) by HugQueen gives a good explanation about the topic and furthermore a direct example. Because IrrevocableFate has PTSD herself. She describes how she got PTSD and how the disorder affects her life.

An excerpt from "I Have Hope":
-------------------------------------------
Daytime consists of me never being left alone, it doesn't matter to if someone is a room away, I can not stand be alone. I need to have someone I trust close by and in the same room as me. Going out into public is one of my biggest fears, it's where I relive what happened the most. Basically, I'm afraid of people. I also have a constant, nagging fear that something terrible will happen and so I mentally prepare for the worst possible scenario.

I trust everyone and I trust no one.

At night my symptoms become worse, I can not go anywhere without making sure there is light illuminating my path. I need to be able to see everything in front of me, I wake up groggy and as soon as I flip the light switch I become hyper-vigilante of every noise and movement. I become jumpy and literally sprint towards my destination, always making sure I can reach a weapon if necessary.
--------------------------------------------

To everyone who is interested I strongly recommend this text as it an understandable and detailed description of PTSD and how life with it is. My utmost respect to IrrevocableFate to put her difficult situation into words and then uploading it here to share it with other people
